What are the correlation between history information and changes in exposure module?

I’m looking at someone else’s edit of a Play Raw image after loading their xmp file.
I then look at the information provided in pop-ups at hovering over module records in the history stack, and sometimes also at masks and how the module setting visually change from the previous history stack level.

I have become somewhat puzzled from the following information related to the exposure module:

The module looks fairly normally like this:

Can anybody please clarify what Percentile, Target level and change in color space is referring to?

If you drop down the manual setting to automatic you will see the changes made there and the rest are shown in your screen print …ie like the shift from default 0.7 to 1.5 EV… as for the masking someone has decided for some reason to blend the module using display referred masking modes… ie overlay screen etc rather than the default blend modes… THis can also be in place if someone uses none as a default workflow rather than sigmoid or filmic…

Thanks, Todd, that clarifies where Percentile and Target level belong to – except that I have thought that any settings under Automatic would be canceled out if the module eventually got mode set to manual …

The problem is that I see no trace from any masking here. There is no info in the pop-up that a mask has been created, nothing under the select mask type band, and there is no icon for displaying a mask. Could there have been initially created a mask, that was later deleted but anyhow left some rudimentary information?

It’s the masking blend mode. I can’t be certain but it might be changed by a workflow or a manual change in the mask tab…you don’t need a mask to have this change

OK. Thanks!
