Does anyone know what happened to ColorHug? All related GitHub repos are now archived and https://hughski.com/ is now belongs to a company called Geo Sky Technologies.
Such a shame if it’s just gone: it was a really nice open-source colorimeter.

The stated reason was the colorimeter chip was retired, and the apparent replacement seemed much more expensive (not actually true - the SpyderX uses the replacement part and it’s not changed in price much). But reading between the lines, I guess it’s an awful lot of work and time to be building and selling small electronic devices at cost, and there are lots of other interesting projects our there to do.
[ Personally I don’t think such a project is sustainable unless there is a reasonable profit in it - peoples professional time should be paid for some how. ]
