What profile is used in the File Browser

I have been using RT a while, I would like to know what processing profile RT uses to display the files in the File Browser. When I open a directory the files look pretty good, nice and contrasty, good saturation etc.but when I open a file and apply either the Neutral or Default, the file immediately becomes flat and essentially unusable.

I have created and saved many custom profiles but I would like to know if I can use the one RT uses in the browser. I have tried right click file processing operations, then copy the pasting but when I do the images are again flattened and IMHO unusable.

It’s not a profile.

That’s the camera JPEG, which is embedded in the raw as a thumbnail by the camera.

Thanks, I didn’t know that.

If your camera is supported by Adobe DNG Converter, you can get reasonably close by using one of its DCP profiles (just make sure you enable the embedded tone curve).
