What's in the histogram and in the Before panel?

In researching RT, I think I remember coming across a video that said something about the histogram being the histogram for the jpg, OR, was it that when one used the before/after toggle, the before was the jpg??? Would appreciate if someone could clear up this issue for me. Thanks.

Basically, it shows the histogram of the image you are editing on screen.

Thanks.

So, I guess I’m off base with my assumption that when PP’ing RAW, ONLY its RAW copy with appear in Before…and no way of getting its jpg into Before???

I find it difficult to understand what you mean. You want to compare your raw to your out-of-camera JPEG in the before-after mode? That’s not possible.

Thanks for the response. So, I can’t have the OOV jpg in the Before panel while viewing its RAW in the After panel…oh. well… BTW, the reason for this question is that if i could do this, then I could easily compare the OOC to the processed RAW.
