white rose on lush background

Had a lot of fun. I am such a fan of painting in little additional lights with exposure module lately.

I like lush backgrounds…

For me, the crop’s the thing. Also, added a bit of HSL saturation to the linear side of the toolchain:

For me, it looks like that the over-exposure of the flower can only be rescued by manipulating the raw pixels and adjusting the demosaicing process.

Is this correct ?

And yes, I have not been able to do anything “decent” with this one…

The flower is not actually over exposed according to the raw overexposure indicator in DT. I too though it was over exposed initially but it appears not to be the case. I struggled with the colors in the flower and am not 100% happy with my result.

There is like a square pattern. Fairly noticable on the left petal. I don’t see it in any of the other images others posted. This edit is with your software?

Yep, rawproc. So, I cropped pretty aggressively, then I resized to 800 on the long side and output sharpened. That pretty well did it in. I removed the resize and sharpen, and that got rid of the pattern:

Went back and re-laid the individual tools; the resize of the already-small image put a faint notion of the pattern, and the sharpen gave it more definition. I’ll have to pick further at the interpolation going on in resize…

Incredibly natural looking rendition. Am I remembering correctly that you are using ansel?
