Maybe its only going to be me, but I thought it would be very useful to have the ability to save target values for the area color mapping option in the color calibration module as some sort of preset. I don’t want to put in a feature request if it is only me who feels this has merit and also I don’t know if it is practical to implement in the code. Any thoughts by others? I find this a great feature to color balance images based on skintone when there are no neutral areas of the image to color balance against gray.
I definitely see merit in this. I’ve had instances in the past where I’ve wanted to save area colour mapping and apply it across images in different sessions.
It isn’t a problem if you do it all in one go, but if you make any changes to Color Calibration’s area mapping at any point, your previous settings are lost.
If I’m not mistaken, saving a preset in this module ignores all area color mapping settings, so maybe there could be an option to include these settings for presets?
I wouldn’t hesitate to put in a FR on Github.
It doesn’t save the target value and it seems that might be a logical inclusion in the preset and would resolve the issues I am having.
This describes the problem I am experiencing very clearly.
