However, his/her suggestions are not at all similar. Could this feature be turned off?
At the moment this is a site-wide (not per-user) feature.
I’d rather not turn it off as I think the idea is a sound one to help limit similar topic posts. There are a couple of options for possibly tuning the similarity algorithm, though (mostly just min subject/body length before comparison begins - hopefully it will make the comparison a little more helpful).
I’ve tried bumping the numbers on the body similar length.
