I already reduced local contrasts a tiny bit to a level I usually use for my edits, without changing the overall style.

Have fun. Here is the RAW:

Probably a bit of a vanilla edit but here goes. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Loved the series! I went heavy on the velvia here to bring out the rust. Lots of graduated density to throw the distant centre into a pool of light. Then some color LUT tweaks and a color harmonizer pull.

Even when using the latest LibRaw to load the image, it came to me with black bands on the right and at the bottom… So I cropped. Rotated a bit, added a bit of light onto the right wall, just a bit of colour adjust and some sharpen at the end…

The outcome:

I may have been happier without the range compression of AgX, but I kept it.

The color of this sky is very unusual… and so ‘engaging’ if I may say.

Honestly, not ready at all, in fact I’m still way too much clueless about this photo

I thought I’d give this a go. I loaded your edit first (mostly for learning) and took out things that are less-familiar to me and tweaked using module and settings that I use elsewhere.

I can’t compete on contrasts so I went for a lower-contrast look. Also tried softening the grass since that is something I’m evaluating for some of my own recent photos.

Thanks for the play!

Thank you.
It seems the sky was a problem, so I’ve decided to have a bit of fun and turn it into an advantage.

Edited with ART 1.18 and an experimental module, raw conversion was done with ART 1.25.8.

I really like the image quality I’ve seen from this camera so far.

If you like it softer:

Faking an HDR using Lucis followed by buzz to cut some of the harshness out and then balanced and amplified the colors.

Just to complete the info…what was the experimental model…just curious…

Could not sleep tonight - not because of this play…

But finally I got a preview in my mind of what I wanted.

I had to use a tone mapper as I did severe changes.
Without tonemapper I got weird errors like so…

Probably the export software can’t really handle the severe out of gamut situations I so bluntly created…
