Darktable lens correction behavior when missing aperture and focal distance

Does anyone know what the behavior is in darktable and/or lensfun when aperture and focus distance are kept at the default (f/0 and d:1000)?

I’m shooting with a manual lens that has no electronic data transfer and don’t generally log or remember the manual settings on the lens when editing.

The docs specify what parameters contribute to which corrections, but not what happens when the parameter isn’t set. If I don’t sent an aperture or focal distance are TCA and vignetting corrections omitted or is some default correction applied?

Lens corrections depend on certain photometric parameters that are read from the image’s Exif data: focal length (for distortion, TCA, vignetting), aperture (for TCA, vignetting) and focal distance (for vignetting). Many cameras do not record focal distance in their Exif data, in which case you will need to set this manually
