Well, the same could be applied to your initial comment, but who am I to judge.
There’s a difference between a manual – telling you the what – and a user or workflow guide – telling you about the different ways of how and why. And despite the high quality of the darktable manual there are questions every week by knowledgable folks about the how and why. If the manual would or could cover all the different workflows that are possible we wouldn’t need pixls.us. Makes sense now?

I feel the manual is an excellent document as is the forum here. It is sometimes hard to know how to search the manual for specific answers and that is where the forum here complements the manual. Also different users have different workflows that they can share here and it is not possibly to include every workflow in the manual. For me I don’t cull in the lighttable and have explained my method for better or worst, but then I see a excellent description by @grubernd of how he successfully employs the culling mode.
