A plea for more guidance in the darktable manual

There needs to be some gating factor, contributions to both will be proof read and edited.

Contributing to either is just as easy as contributing to dtdocs, its all on github.

I’m sure there are people who can help with the details. Or perhaps people could submit new content in an issue and ask nicely for a maintainer to turn that issue into a Pull Request.

Isn’t it just a matter of creating a pixls post using the #darktable and #tutorial tags? I think anyone can do it. You can then put those tags in the search box to get a list of matching posts.

I think articles and blog posts have to be done via github.

Quite interesting to know the reasoning behind the new documentation’s structure. I would say it even could be usefull to add these points somewhere in the manual (to explain what and how it is, and what and how it will not be)

Some of them are mentioned in the contributing page but it might be worth adding more information.
