AgX neutral settings

If you want to keep gamma = 2.2, for the range covered by 8-bit sRGB, the following settings bring you as close as possible:

  • contrast: 2.48
  • toe power: 1.28
  • shoulder: irrelevant, will be inverted
  • black relative exposure: -11.72
  • white relative exposure: 2.33
  • dynamic range scaling: 0
  • advanced params at default (target black 0%, white 100%, toe/shoulder start 0%, gamma 2.2).

If you want to avoid that highlight clipping, and use gamma 2.2, the overall fit will be a bit worse, but:

  • contrast: 2.61
  • toe power: 1.19
  • shoulder power: irrelevant, will be inverted
  • black relative exposure: -11.45
  • white relative exposure: 2.47
  • dynamic range scaling: 0
  • advanced params at default (target black 0%, white 100%, toe/shoulder start 0%, gamma 2.2).

If you set gamma to 5:

  • contrast: 2.45
  • toe power: 1.05
  • shoulder: irrelevant, will be inverted
  • black relative exposure: -18.99
  • white relative exposure: 2.41
  • dynamic range scaling: 0
  • advanced params (other than gamma) at default (target black 0%, white 100%, toe/shoulder start 0%).

If you want to go bonkers:

  • gamma: 100 (yes)
  • contrast: 2.34
  • toe power, shoulder power: both irrelevant, will be inverted
  • black relative exposure: -11.18
  • white relative exposure: 2.45
  • toe start=100%
  • shoulder start=0%
