It is a real shame about DPRreview though. I’ve only just started my interchangeable lens system journey, but ever since I first started seriously reading up on camera systems last year, everyone always pointed to DPReview in order to start getting a real grip on what’s out there in terms of hardware and various legitimate opinions about that hardware.
[I ended up getting my precious little Z5 on a black friday sale. No regrets, even though it was certainly overkill to go from cheapo smartphone photography straight to a brand new full format camera.]
It’s really sad to see old established infrastructures break down, or in the case of DPReview getting wantonly destroyed to increase the profit margin for one of the richest men in world history. But that’s par for the course when you put for-profit-interests in charge of preserving parts of the cultural infrastructure.
