That’s because with 2.9.8, the correct filter command is :

  fx_curves_interactive 7,0,1,7,"0,0,40,60,100,100,-1,0,0,30,70,100,100,-1,0,0,100,100,-1,0,0,100,100,-1,-1,0,0,100,100"

(note the double quotes).
