Can't export from RAWTherapee to photoshop CS6

Okay. I did a quickie sepia tone with the sliders on that image, and imported into Phtoshop. It came out identical again and no issues with the RAW editor wanting to redo it.

And my Images are still being taken into Photoshop RAW editor even though I’ve messed with them way more.

Okay. So it turns out it’s NOT doing it to most of the images. Just to certain images in that set. It feels like it might be images I’ve RAW edited in other programs are the issue.

Any ideas how to fix this? Deleting meta files didn’t seen to help.

I’m not sure what is really going on, but if you’ve edited a raw file with another raw editor then export it as .DNG, then it is not “raw” anymore and I would expect something not working in Rawtherapee. It would be of help if you can share a non-working sample of raw file so that someone is able to look into it.

I would like to, but I don’t want to directly put it on the internet because it’s something I hope to print in an art book.

Just to confirm, did you edit this particular raw file in another raw editor first?

I am confused by the terminology in this thread. As far as I know, it is not possible to edit raw data in RawTherapee. When a raw file is opened, it is converted to RGB in the working space for editing and can not be saved or exported as a new raw file.

Another program may allow you to edit raw file and save it as .DNG which looks like but are no longer “raw”, and (I assume) might be the reason why RawTherapee can’t encode it correctly in the first place.

Understood. My computer is Adobe-free, so no DNG for me …

Really? What do you use for an editor? Photoshop now is too much, and Gimp isn’t great, so I’m looking for a new option.

Really.

GIMP
RawTherapee 5.11
FastStone Image Viewer
XnView MP

Good luck with that …

You know we have the Gimp forum also here, right? It may be the case that they’d be able to help you solve issues you have with Gimp.

Unfortunately my problem with Gimp is that the interface just feels very poorly designed.
