Also, if you try the latest official release, does that start or do you get the same error?
macOS 15.2 Sequoia / iMac 27" (Intel-based)
1.24.5 official release works.
Thanks for the info! If you feel like trying again, I’ve uploaded a new test version here (for Intel macs):

Thanks - this version works, and I can also confirm that the wide-gamut support works: after setting the display profile to Display P3, I measured a couple of test files against macOS preview, they looked identical and gave the same RGB values on screen.
However, not initially, but only after I also set the output profile to Display P3. Is this intentional, i.e. similar to a soft-proofing function?
Hi,
And thanks for testing!
It should work with any wide gamut profile, not just display P3. But yes, if you specify srgb, that’s what you get…
Yes, it’s intentional, but it’s not soft proofing. It’s simply the result of taking into account the output profile of the image.

I know that it’s not soft-proofing, that’s why I wrote “similar”
What I meant: unlike other raw converters (for example darktable, ACR, …), changing the output (export) profile also changes the rendering on screen, i.e. provides a preview of what the saved image will look like.
Ok, sorry about that!
Indeed.
