Discrepancy between CR3 and DNG
I’ve been comparing an R6 Mk3 CR3 with its DNG (thanks to @paulmatth for providing this). There are some slight differences so I think worth airing. @Juan_Pablo_Zambrano thanks for the libraw work.
Process
I’ve used my build of recent Master plus the libraw @m_b used, 6064ac4-dirty.
I’ve loaded the same XMP into the CR3 and DNG (these are here Can I ask a favour please...) and looked for differences, hoping to find none. However there are small white balance differences.
CR3 white balance

The xmp I loaded in each case was pond-xmp-as-loaded.xmp.
The resulting xmp’s following jpeg output are these -

with these jpegs -

CR3 and DNG agree on raw black/white point.
If instead of loading my xmp I discard history in lighttable then go to editing, there are white balance differences here also.

Resetting the WB module does not change either pair of values (as would be expected)
The differences are small but it would be nice to understand why. The most baffling thing for me is that I load an xmp set at camera reference, but the DNG processing has somehow come up with different temp and tint values (and so you get the double white balance warning).
