Sounds like a tag.
In my settings, I set to write my tags direct to images metadata (jpeg). I don’t want to write yet additional tags to the images in order to make a quick selection i.e virtual album.
If you really want virtual albums as you describe them, post a feature request on the digikam bug tracker. Most here can’t do anything to add such a feature.
In the mean time, did you notice the “filter” tab on the right side. That allows you to temporarily hide some of the images shown from the “album” selected in the left sidebar.
Of course, the digikam team may not be interested in adding such a feature (or the Pan and Zoom you mention for slide shows). Reasons for this could be “not considered relevant for digikam”, “no time”, “technically too complex/brittle”, …
On a MacMini M2 under MacOS Sequoia 15.1 I get this by clicking on ‘digikam’:
" Das Programm „Finder“ hat keine Berechtigung zum Öffnen von „(null)“.!
("The program ‘Finder’ has no right to open ‘(null)’)
I have the same issue.
Same issue for me as well.
Could it be a rosetta 2 problem? Hopefully, someone can point out to a solution.
digiKam 8.5.0 should be released in a few weeks. With 8.5.0 we will have a native Apple silicon package. No need for Rosetta!
Cheers,
Mike
