DIY firewall & router with Linux

If someone wants to tinker and is open to use OpenWRT, maybe this board is interesting for a router:

So, just to follow up on this topic: in the past two weeks I have set up everything on the router to my satisfaction.

I am really impressed with

  1. the hardware. It is a robust little box, has mostly metal exterior (with fins for cooling, screws for mounting), and it is more than powerful enough for my needs (routing, firewall, various low-footprint services),

  2. the software. it is capable enough for anything between serious enthusiast tinkerers building a SOHO network to mid-sized companies. Command line access, sophisticated routing and firewall capabilities, various LAN services… everything so convenient.

  3. the community. Helpful people answered all my questions quickly and patiently.

  4. the docs. well-writtend and detailed, with introduction to concepts.

Yes, this was actually a very important aspect. I was not aware that this option existed but I am happy that it does.

Damn, Chris Wilson is unrecognizable; weight loss + less stress from distancing himself from PoE really seemed to help him, looks a lot younger

@Tamas_Papp I am sure you want to know how your router was made:

Thanks, the whole channel is great. I would be watching all of those videos, except that I have a bunch of other videos lined up about photography  :camera:

Fully agree that the channel is great in general.
