I think I have a basic understanding of how the modul works. I also skimmed through this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWcj8aB_yXI video and he never has this interface:
But maybe this is just part of the documentation or so.
So, based on what I saw I believe that false colors could be a good idea to show the different exposure zones that can be edited.
that’s no interface, that’s a graphical explanation how that masking works.
In your screenshot you have most parts of the head in the lowest values of the mask. If you want to edit the tonal values of the head you need to move the mask (mask exposure compensation) and maybe stretch it (mask contrast compensation).
Then you’re able to correct these using the 9 sliders/nodes in simple or advanced tab or directly on the image.
