Fisching catch scene in Colombia

Hi All
PC170229.ORF (14.3 MB)

I took this pic while on a trip to Bahía Solano (Colombia) about a year a go. After a trip to watch whales (no luck, not the right season) we were left on the beach by the guide at about 1 km from the hotel, so my wife and I walked on the beach to the hotel.

At some point close to El Valle, we got our eye caught by this scene of fishermen trying to get their daily fishing catch. From mature men to kids, they all participate in the catching.

I took some pics, this being my favourite. At home, I was unable to edit it to my satisfaction, as I am limited by my (lack of) skills using DT.

So here I am, really curious with your superb interpretations of this scene

Thank you!

Here is a square crop with stronger foreground. RT 5.8.

I think this one could have done with a couple more minutes working the scene, feels like there’s a better composition in there somewhere. Great shot otherwise though. Colour or B&W?

Thank you for your proposal

Could you please elaborate on those Aurélien modules? I am not aware of them.

I have to agree with you. It happens to me all the time… once at home I begin to think if could have done this or that… :frowning:

He posted them some time ago, but it’s in the 3.4 manual:
