I’m a rank beginner to Gimp. Using Gimp 2.10.22 under high sierra. I’ve gotten myself into a corner.
How do I quit the top most panel /Users/mac/Desktop/all screen shots? I’ve click on the red ball and cancel button. I’ve clicked on the help button with not help.
This must be too basic. I’m not getting it.

It looks like you already opened a file (Flos map #4.png), which opened a new window that is asking you how to import/treat this file.
That import window is, for whatever reason, on the bottom of the pile (you can see it at the top left corner, the one that says Import the…
As long as that one is active you cannot, to my knowledge, close the one that is seen in front, the one titled Import as layers.
