How to access Pictures on a network share in RT?

Sorry for a possibly dumb question:
I am not able to access pictures on a network share from RT.
I only see the local drives. When I enter a unc-path in the address field, RT does not show anything.
Is that feature missing ?
Thanks for any hints

Which operating system are you working on?
Windows something? Linux something? How is the share created?

@rw988 A few clarifications…

If you are on Windows, here is the way to do it:

  • I have a shared folder on D:,
  • on my normal desktop on C: I have
  • a shortcut to the shared folder.

The windows version of RT cannot see this shortcut.

To make Win RT see the share, you just map the shared folder to a drive letter. For more info, see here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-shortcut-map-network-drive#1TC=windows-7
