Københavns Hovedbanegård Dual ISO 100/1600

The purpose of Dual ISO is to increase dynamic range in order to reduce noise in the shadows. It is not meant to sacrifice highlights. I would recommend the following approach:

  1. Compose with aperture and speed
  2. Set upper ISO for proper exposure
  3. Set lower ISO for noise reduction

Hint: ML can lower ISO below the lowest default value for certain cameras.

You mean this Københavns Hovedbanegård Dual ISO 100/1600 - #10 by Peter

And you must mean set lower ISO for proper exposure and higher ISO for noise reduction in shadows to get away from the noise floor.

With the same exposure, ISO 1600 is less noisy than ISO 100 for the shadows and with a 6D.

I think the sun as the brightest area should be clearly visible.

I tried to insert a little fake-sun. :sunny: :dog2:

For better performance I changed diffuse/sharpen at the sky to contrast equalizer.
