Lets edit - Darktable HDR - church at sunrise

I tried to get a nice glow around that lamp with DorS, but I don’t think it’s working so well. Might be better with just the bloom.
Didn’t completely desaturate that cone as I thought it might be a nice extra point of interest.

Edit: Felt like I needed to adjust the yellow/blue a bit more towards orange/purple.

Does anyone want to take a run at going a different direction with the clouds…I have a vision but I don’t know how to get there…

I think this image would look awesome with diffuse clouds that appear to be drifting off to the right… keeping much of the color…but having that effect that you see in clouds… a bit like when the vapour trails from aircraft diffuse in the sky… I tried to get an example from gemini but I just typed a rambling prompt and likely I could do better but I didn’t want Gemini to do it I was just trying to get a decent example of my vision and then see if we can craft that in darktable…

This is nasty but something like that but more diffuse and transparent with just the right saturation…I’ll try to find an existing image that has those qualities…anyway I think it might be a really nice version of the sky for this awesome photo…

I was planning on going back there and using Olympus Live Composite to do the clouds but I was just let go from my job that took me by the place and its about 120Km from my house so no time at as need to look for work.

I’m sorry to hear about the job news…hopefully its one of those bad things that becomes a good thing and leads to some change for the better…but if not hang in there and good luck on that front… thanks for sharing your art as always you have such a wonderful selection of compositions in your archive…

Great photo and looks like a very peaceful place. Tried to edit accordingly. It seems like there is a halo around the church even without any tone eqalization. Is it an hdri merging artifact or is it just me?

Using my Astia-like style and graduated density to reduce the dynamic range.

I was thinking it might just be the shape of the clouds? Like they’re just thinning out behind the building.

Just wanted to show how vastly different results can you get from spektrafilm

gold200 with crystal archive. Sliders had to go crazy for this one but I think I am plased with colors as well as exposure. I preferred a bit of an underexposed look for this picture which looked sick but this has “the HDR” .

Might be the case. I find it sometimes hard to distinguish. This is another example:
