Manjaro: Fatal Python error: Aborted

I can’t start RPD anymore. Seems to be connected with the last update of Manjaro.

The problem seems to be connected with “Cannot load library /usr/lib/python3.8/site-packages/PyQt5/Qt/plugins/platforms/libqxcb.so”.

I have more programs which don’t start with similar messages. I couldn’t find any solution for this problem online I could understand. Any hints?

Thank you!

Did you consult this thread? Might be helpful:

Hi Damon,
yes, I’ve read that before and libxkbcommon-x11 is installed. I think it’s not a RPD problem, but something wrong with python. I am not familiar with python, any hints where and how to check my installation are very welcome. But maybe I should better check at some python forum. Thank you!

Marcus

I think it’s more likely to be a problem with how Qt is packaged. That’s my guess.
