On a more practical note though - how do you edit the HDR file in DT, later exported to JPEG-XL?

Exporting images for use in HDR TV production

Hi, I am trying to find out if darktable can output images in an HDR format for use in HDR TV productions that are graded in Da Vinci Resolve. I would think that using the HDR output color profiles would accomplish this, but so far I haven’t had too much luck. I have tried to export images in linear Rec.2020, HLG Rec.2020 and PQ Rec.2020, as exr and 16 bit tif. As far as I can think, I would then be able to take these images into Resolve, assign their respective input colorspace/gammas and the…
