I am assuming you are talking about jpg images vs raw/xmp in this post. What is your ultimate goal?
Do you want to edit the jpg to add the new tags inside the file? You want an external catalog with tag info linked to jpg in your file structure?
Or if you have raw files, do you plan to process those in DT?
