Your foreground looks amazing, just over cooked the sky a bit I think.

Thanks for the kind words. I tried to create a colorful sky, but on a second look - you are clearly right, thats over the top.

It was one of the first things I saw in this beautiful photograph.

Beautiful photo. My play in GIMP. I used luminosity masks to try to emphasise the structure in the snow and a slight increase in saturation for the sky.

Beautiful scene, Joachim.
I especially appreciate the swirling patterns in the foreground snow, so while the crops some others have suggested bring out the background mountains very well, I think the swirl patterns are the highlight that needs preserving. I don’t see the halos you referred to and hopefully I’ve avoided adding any 
I really like the colours you’ve achieved (less is more in this case) along with the overall light levels and contrast to showcase the foreground. My own effort is aimed to achieve the same.
