Yes. Even if you want to process in black and white, why give up the ability to replicate physical coloured filters in post.
Edit: I watched the video now and it has some nice shots…

$2,200 USD holy crap!
Oh, I hadn’t noticed that…
It’s cheaper in the UK and rest of the world apparently. The US prices has the tariffs built in
Still expensive in my opinion, might as well buy the regular model.

Still like 1,700 euros, no? Too much IMHO.
Knowing greedy European stores it’ll end up at 1.9k or more. Way too expensive for sure
I thought $1600 USD for the regular IV was a lot, but in love the III and the IV is certainly an improvement (except maybe the micro SD card, which is way too small). Plus the fact that the III is going for more on the used market now than I paid for it new, so I can offset the cost of it that way too.
Though I’m not sure if I should keep the III.
With all the geopolitical issues going on it seems like a good idea to keep it unless you need the money. I would keep it but I am a bit of a hoarder ![]()
I have this problem too. I’m still deciding what to do with my X-T5. I’m tempted to sell it now before the X-T6 comes out (probably next year). And that will raise some funds for my next main camera purchase.
But a part of me doesn’t want to sell it because I think I might come back to it one day and be grateful for having kept it.
I still have my Canon 550D, even though I never use it anymore. I get attached to things, even though it doesn’t make much sense to keep things that aren’t being used. I regret getting rid of my Canon 500N film camera. And I think I actually gave that to a thrift store because no one wanted to buy it.
I am trying really hard to unhoard right now. I feel overwhelmed with physical stuff and my office looks like a method addict had a meltdown in it.
But it is a really small camera… ![]()
I’ve intended to do a sensor cleaning on my III, and then sell it. Haven’t got around to that yet, though.
MPB would only give me €550, which is ridiculously low.
You can easily get $900 on reddit.
Ha. I was so wrong.
It did initially sell like hotcakes, not any less of a joke of a camera though
I’m thankful Fuji spent so much money helping me to understand the limits of my own knowledge.
My photo club friend bought one day one. It’s a cute little thing. The novelty wore off quickly, and he’s now selling it.
If it shot raw, and was <€500, I’d get it for the kids. But without raw, I don’t see the point. Actually, if it shot raw, I might even enjoy it myself.
at approximately 300 Euros I could get a Leica smartphone, with the same size sensor… 41-megapixels, faster f/1.9 also aspherical lens (in comparison to the f/2.8)… and different “lens simulation” modes that emulate the colour rendition of various historical Leica glass, which is… a lot more novelty in my opinion - and if I had bought this new, it’d be some 1200 Euros instead of 300, but that’s only about a 400 Euro difference from the X-Half’s MSRP, and with it I get a whole smartphone with a flagship processor, QHD 120Hz OLED screen, headphone jack, 512GB storage, SD card slot, and IP68 weather sealing
I didn’t get the point of the X-Half. I still don’t.
Oh, hello
I hate this. Bunch of e-waste. Maybe if they used an action cam sensor with a 4k resolution option or something, but as it is it’s just a sad product. Honestly worries me about the direction Fuji is taking and makes me worried about the future as the owner of some of their lenses and two cameras.
We have an INSTAX Mini Evo. Honestly, it’s a delightful piece of kit. It’s just a shame the camera itself is rubbish. It’s fine for the mini prints, but the digital files are garbage. If they built an Evo with, say, a type 1" sensor, (X-Half Evo?), it would be an amazing.
