Nothing out of the ordinary. I also use Ubuntu on other machines. So far support for AMD/Intel/Nvidia GPUs + OpenCL is very similar between Debian and Ubuntu.
If you have already exhausted power management settings in both your desktop environment and the monitor’s own setup menu, then I would check cable, try with a replacement or diffferent type (Displayport/HDMI).
Yeah, most times, but unfortumately not always. It can happen, that with the same Ubuntu version and the same hardware, 1 pc works fine, the other not.
I hate it most, when things work perfect for months, then make big problems and then it works again. Especially with my monitors. I did nothing else than to swicht cables, HDMI - DP, a.s.o. It does work with old and new hardware, you can change things as you want.
I change cables, always use very expensive ones, changed an expensive professionell monitor, a.s.o, it works when the system wants and then not. It could be everything. So the solution would be something complete new, except the (exchanged) monitor. Maybe it is a problem with Asus.
The B580 needs minimum 24.10, not happy about this, it is no LTS version.
