IMHO the main problem is that OBS’s debian builds are fundamentally broken by design,
as compared to rpm builds - they are rebuilding the package as it was built by maintainer,
while replacing the source code. It just doesn’t work. It really should be doing full from-source rebuild, as explained in debian docs.
