[PlayRaw] Bee in the park

Summer evening in the park just behind my house…
During some practice shots a bee landed in front of my lens.

Lovely image. Many bees and butterflies, among other creatures, in my area too.

They always just show us the butt, don’t they?
Here’s mine with DT and GIMP:

Great pics. i’ve been taking a few bee pics myself. I’ve had about the same luck as you with getting the bee’s butt into focus. Finally, last week I broke down and ordered some macro extension tubes. I think they’ll up the game a little for the bee shots. Here’s a pic where I get a bee to stand still and say cheese for a change:

Meanwhile, can’t wait to get the M42 extension tubes. BTW: shot shown was done with 50 year old Pentax lens (M42 mount). Good luck with the bees.
