There is no path in data.db, the DB can be copied and used anywhere. It contains only shared data.

The import is for images, not styles.

Did you try to specify the style path?

–style
Specify the name of a style to be applied during export. If a style is specified, the path to the darktable configuration directory must also be specified (i.e. --core --configdir ~/.config/darktable). By default no style is applied.

Won’t work, --style take a style name not a file.

Moving data.db seems to be the only solution so far.
