A friend of mine recently started his photographic journey, and has asked me for a raw developer recommendation. I do love Darktable, but for a beginner who’s just starting out, and still struggling with all the knobs and menus on their camera, it’s a bit much. In particular, it’s a bit too easy to use badly.
I can not tell you how much it pleases me, that we now have a fantastic, easy to use, hard to misuse, Open Source alternative in RapidRAW! And furthermore an alternative that actually includes some of the hard-won learnings from Darktable’s tumultuous history, like AgX.
