Hi all, I have recently tried to come up with a way to achieve a colored bloom effect in Darktable (where the bloom (or halation) around the highlights has a different color than the lights themselves), but have failed so far (tried the usual suspects like the Bloom module or Lowpass). Any idea?

You apparently asked about this before, in what way is the solution unsatisfactory?

EDIT This is a simple halation simulation, using red channel blend mode (right):

Note that this part of the image is out of focus to start with. I guess I should stop before the whole picture turns into a gray/red blob
