RT (partha) error on OS X

Ok, deleted my ˜/library/Application Support/RawTherapee/options and that solved it. All images load into window now. Thanks.

@HIRAM upload problematic images using filebin.net and not directly here. Also please provide the commit/changeset number (e.g. “adb2ec1”) or branch name, because “build 1197” alone is not specific enough in git and we have to guess what you mean.

Sorry just pasted the link… forum just went and grabbed it.
Dropbox - cuChi2016school-Sat.jpg - Simplify your life

Loads fine on 1025 (dc4bbe906ba92ddc66f98a3c26ce19822bfb99ab), but both @partha builds 1197 (7cb87819108f6ef221cde58f6583bf2dd6a5daeb) and 1445 (c6c5610333b9fbbda32fd46932fa8cdb3813532e) crash immediately when opening this image.

Gracias Muchísimas.

@HIRAM, Does this only happen with this image or all jpgs?

Thanks,
Partha

@HIRAM thank you for the changesets, but please upload that image using filebin.net, nothing else. The dropbox version does not crash here. I don’t know whether dropbox modifies it in any way but I know filebin does not.

Yes just this one. Also a processed version of it didn’t open as well. I’ll filebin them in a bit after lunch.

@partha @morgan_hardwood Alright, here are the two jpg’s in question via filebin:

processed

unprocessed

Thanks @HIRAM both files open without issues in adb2ec (4.2.1448 gtk3-bugfix) in Linux. Could else try on Windows?

4.2.1218 Master (56dbfe1e5f6a066c6d09da36479c5e75832df694) opens the files normally (windows 8.1)

Can’t seem to get 4.2.1445 gtk3-bugfix to run in the first place on either win 8.1 or 10.

I noticed this OS X build will actually open the files via file browser when the application is running, however dragging the images onto the application icon while not running does cause it to crash when opening.

Both jpgs opens without any problems on Win 10 RT 4.2.1447

@HIRAM, @Morgan_Hardwood,

There is a bug in cairo (cairo-scaled-fonts.c) that is causing this. I’ll see if there are any fixes for this upstream.

@partha Having trouble with the horizontal file browser scroll bar. https://filebin.net/nlc9zyd5b5o0fb2v/IMG_6006.MOV
It’s not grabbing on to the bar as you can see in the movie. This is with the same OS X gtk3-bugfix numbered 4.2.1445. The vertical one does that intermittently.

Aha, maybe this is related too? Menu selections not grabbing and/or highlighting. https://filebin.net/tqjg8xwy4wtdy4iv/IMG_6024.MOV

@HIRAM I cannot reproduce that. Try again using branch gtk3 commit 88c2520 and file a proper bug report with AboutThisBuild.txt info if you can still reproduce it.

@partha @Morgan_Hardwood I’m not certain that it has been built for OS X yet.?

@HIRAM, @Morgan_Hardwood,

Could you try this build and tell me it’s all working for you?

Thanks! Partha

PS: Your jpeg that you posted before will still crash since I am still using my existing cairo build.

Seems to work, triangles disappeared again.
Similar behaviors on the scroll bars and menu selections.
