But essentially, once you have your preferences set correctly, just leave the white balance module alone and it’ll do its thing automatically.

Thanks to the very helpful responses to my initial question I am now in the happy position of leaving the white balance module alone.

I understand the module is complex and wish you good luck with making the manual clearer whilst retaining useful detail.
