Yep. As a former enterprise backup admin, I always thought the technology in general should be called “restores”, not “backups”. Backups without successful restores as just a waste of storage and the time, effort and money required to build them.
That was a MAJOR stressor for me as a “backup” admin – The fact that no matter how much you test, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings. And occasionally (for no apparent reason) she would get hoarse…
