Thank you both, that makes sense. I will have to get permission from she who must be obeyed before I spend a few hours doing this. However I will try to do it.

There does appear to be a Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD crop=1.534 on the supported lenses list for distortion only. Aberration and Vignetting are not present for this lens yet.
