Several RT-tools, at least 12, are marked with a 1:1 warning telling that the editing result should be evaluated in 1:1 to be reliable.
This is not the case with the new (5.5) haze removal tool even though constructing a correct/reliable preview turns out to be a real challenge. The preview seems to be very reliable even when the sliders are pushed to max.
Can the method used in the haze removal tool be adapted to some of the other RT-tools so that the 1:1 warning can be removed?

not in general I’d say, but for the specific report about dynamic range compression, maybe something can be done. I’ll think about it

The resulting output from the queue processing invoked by ctrl-b is very much da… rker than the image shown in the editor.
This holds true for at least jpg output and TIFF (8 bit) output.

well, several things need to happen:
the patch has to be accepted
it has to be merged in dev
a Windows nightly build has to be prepared
none of this is under my control, so I don’t know
