Is it possible to adjust the vibrancy of a single area in a photo? I had a subject wearing a bright pink shirt in an otherwise fairly neutral area. I’d like to tone down the bright color without dulling the color of the rest of the photo.

Hi!
Have you played with the La b* adjustments?

A little bit, but I really don’t understand how they work

Your question actually sounds a bit like mine, a year ago.
Some of the answers I got might very well help you, too:
It may sound odd, but I have problems with flower petals. Imagine a yellow crocus in the morning sun, having a few dew drops on top. It seems as if it does not matter how careful I am with exposure – the red channel still is grossly overexposed, especially at the top of the flower.
What would be your recommended way of processing in such a case?
Have fun!
