when is this file created?
this file has nothing to do with it. the code requests an extension that is not supported by the device, to one would have to disable it in the code (as posted above). if the simple approach doesn’t work it probably takes some more work and also it will break some features that depend on the extension (iirc macintosh, ray tracing, the texture list nodes).
