What is the easiest way to desqueeze anamorphic photos?

I am thinking about another toy for my Panasonic S1R full frame camera. The raw or jpg still images from the Sirui 50mm t2.9 1.6x lens need a desqueezing and I am wondering if this is can be done in the given workflow of darktable.

Is using a lua script and exivtool a possibility?

You need to do more than modify the metadata.

Thank you all for your responses. It would be nice if I could find a raw file to experiment with. Since I only use Linux, the processing might be difficult - or very easy on the command line interface. If you have a tip where I can find something like that, please post it here. Unfortunately, Dr. Google has failed me.

My dt version of 4.2.1 disagrees:

  • rotate and perspective
  • perspective : manual
  • lens model : specific
  • aspect adjust : 1.33
