It has. It does not have E2EE (end-to-end-encryption), so “the server knows”. But it’s fairly safe.
To be honest, I know of very few video conferencing services that allow for E2EE and multi-participant video call (it’s quite technically challenging). One of them is the Swiss-based wire.com, but there’s no free plan anymore.
