Hi there! I’m Akshay.

I’m a Civil Engineer and BIM Modeler by day, and a hardcore Android tinkerer by night. I’ve been modding Android since the “Donut” days, but my ultimate obsession is color science and physical RAW processing.

What I’m up to:

Building from Scratch: I love doing things the rigorous way to truly understand the math—like writing custom Vulkan compute shaders and coding photochemical film emulation pipelines manually in Halide instead of relying on standard LUTs.

AI Experimentation: While I love low-level coding, I also enjoy testing new workflows. I recently “vibe-coded” a fully functional, Lightroom-style mobile RAW editor from the ground up in just 48 hours.

I joined this community because I’m hugely inspired by the passion in open-source projects like spektrafilm and motioncam. I’m here to learn, chat about color science, and collaborate with anyone who wants to push the boundaries of mobile photography!
