Enthusiast who needed to discover how photography worked. Been looking at images all my life, and in 2020, with time on my hands curiosity and opportunity and passion coincided.

Not being able to justify the cost of Lightroom, cos I might only use it occasionally, I ran into an open source alternative, which I must contribute to at some time soon, when the money supply improves and that was darktable, the Reaper of affordable (or free) image editing from RAW.

Been through the darktable mill and survived, and kept at it for a few months, not able to churn out satisfactory results eventually. But in a way the difficulty was good as it taught me so much more about editing photos. The learning never stops.
