Prior to 2023 the only pictures I took were of part numbers, wine lables, and generally anything else I needed help remembering. When my youngest went off to college, I found the hand-me down camera (Canon 50d) his grandfather gave him for a photography class…and have been hooked ever since.

I primarily do “Nature” photography due to the easy access, but also enjoy still life and pet portraiture. I have no art training and have never put much energy into visual expression, so most of my time is spent fumbling through the basics. I gravitate towards doing whatever is the most difficult, so photography has been great fun!
