I am a pianist and conductor by profession. I’ve been drawing and painting since I was a child and began shooting photos in the 80’s while on a trip to Colorado. Now I do a lot of gardening, but in the past I’ve built a boat, played about every sport there is, and traveled a lot. Lately I continue to shoot photos and most recently visited Cuba and Yosemite or the greater southwestern U.S. I have edited RAW photos for quite some time, usually on a Mac. Right now I have a Windows unit and just got started with DT finding it user friendly after a brief period of confusion with the interface and the multitude of various modules. I am handy with computers but I am not a programmer. Some of the lingo is foreign to me such as terms like pid and so forth. But I have always been able to learn quickly. I’m persistent, ha! Anyhow, this forum seems to be quite impressive and I hope to be able to take part in the proceedings in the future. I am anxious to get DT up and running again because I just shot new photos out on the ocean two days ago. I love shooting those types of grand ocean landscapes with the various birds and fish and ships and clouds and so forth! I hope to get back to printing in the near future and will need to explore how to print using DT and or GIMP. That should be enough rambling for now! Thanks for any help!
