My enthusiasm for photography I have from childhood (slide evenings, who still remembers?)
In the course of time, I have developed into a lover of black and white photography via various cameras and my own laboratory. Admittedly, my enthusiasm is probably much greater than my skills, but that doesn’t stop me from being out and about with my camera as often as I can. In the meantime, I have given up the analog and, giving in to my age, finally acquired something digital with autofocus and stabilization, which explicitly and exclusively produces black-and-white images and has a fixed lens.
Many friends are surprised, they think this must be perceived as a limitation. The opposite is true in my case. I deal with a single focal length, the subject, the scenario of light and shadow, freeing myself from the constraint of deciding on the right lens and any color related stuff.
